Using WinampCOM with Apache/PHP

By default, apache on windows runs as a service that can not interact with the desktop. If you are running Apache as a service, you will need to change this before WinampCOM can find Winamp. To do this:

  1. Open Control Panel
  2. Open Administrative Tools
  3. Open Services
  4. Right click the Apache2 Service, and select Properties
  5. Go to the Log On tab
  6. Click Allow service to interact with the desktop.
  7. Click OK
